the latest invention and ideas in technological world make information searching activity become easier and faster. but without realizing, technology has made people become lazier and quick-minded. we opt for easy working environment: people call it a click that can make a different. yes we are benefiting from technology but how many of us realize that the we are actually becoming doofus?
so perhaps you dont know what is a doofus? let me tell you:- a doofus is someone who is incompetent, foolish, or stupid. why am i talking about this crap?
have you ever realized that with technology we are not even bothered to find out what lies behind a click of the mouse? less we care to learn how we came to know what we know. simple example: the downloading experience-
so how many of us know what is a URL stands for or perhaps HTML? nor do i care because technology is meant for us to live an easy life and so here we are. why bother to go fishing when you can buy fish at the market? you get me?
i was angry with myself when today i found out that the latest adds-on provided my Mozilla Firefox so called THE DOWNLOADER HELPER does the downloading process with just a click!
pretty impressing as you can let it does what it is created for, downloading every videos and songs that is embedded in any web pages without you even care to find its sources or to give credits for.
previously, to download a video from YOuTUbe, i would have to copy the URL add and then paste it in a box in Keepvid.com page to download it. but with my latest soooo friendly DOWnloader Helper, i dont have to go through such steps again. easy: yes it is.
but what makes me angry is because if everyone has such a program like me, soon no one in this world would ever know what is a URL and HTML.. we a re loosing it bit by bit..and until one fine day: perhaps our new generation would not even know what is search engines, downloading platform, OS and RAM??
we take things for granted...im afraid we are becoming groups of Doofus.
