Photo Studio
an image editor program as it is created for, one would be expecting those fancy tools and complex steps to edit an image. but unlike Adobe Photoshop, ArcSoft Photo Studio (Canon) is a lot easier and a great toy to play around with. still integrating the usage of layers, the tools are quite similar to Adobe Photoshop, perhaps lacking a bit of the complexity of Adobe program.
simplicity is the key word for users. basic tools for image editing such as cropping, colouring, cutting and fixing flaws are presented in iconic forms just like in Adobe program. but what makes it easier to use relies on the layers that it has to offer while going through the editing process. one should not overestimate Photo Studio as it doesn't offer you those fancy layers (im talking about Mask layer, Levels, Adjustment layers) and modes (Quick mask mode) so basicaly you have lesser things to do in this program compared to Adobe.
but again, for new beginners, this program is quite useful as you'll get some basic experience playing with the layers and tools before you are going into Adobe Photoshop..well, we learn to crawl first before we could walk isn't it right?
